fuel injector failure
so heres whats going on with my '87 gxl....
whenever i start off in 1st 2nd or 3rd gears it bogs a little...actually in 4th and 5th as well but not as bad...like its not a smooth drive until i go past maybe 2000 or 25oo rpms. now if i take my foot off the gas hit clutch and put car in neutral or just keep dlown clutch and keep in gear with other foot on brake the car will start to like hesitate with the rpms and jump by its self between like 500 and 1500 rpms and evetually (most of the time) it just turns off. I've even noticed that sometimes(found out on accident) that once after it has stauled and engine ahs turned off if i just hit the gas it will turn the engine back over and start running again w.o even having to turn the key again. So i am thinking that it is probabaly due to either dirty or leaking injectors....if so...how do i check? i checked the ohms on the connector of one of the injectors and got 2.6 ohms...i cant find out the spec though in the haynes manual on the range its suppoe to be in...does anybody know what the problem could be or tips on checking injectors? i would do a compression test but have no compression tester so want to do as much as possible as i can w/o spending useless money.
