Got a question for all you guys. I have the opportunity to buy a 86 13A Rx7 with 20k on a rebuild and a new clutch. Only thing is the computer is out and the car won't start, at least this is what the guy said that I could by the car from for about 400-500 bucks. The body isn't bad and the interior is complete with no broken glass. I love rx-7, but I don't want to find out this computer being out costs me tons. Thanks for your help.

I'm assuming they mean the ECU? What caused the ECU to die? You can buy a used one for like $50-100 at most, but it depends on what killed the original in the first place.
I got a used ECU you can have for cheap. If its just that let me know.
4-500 is ok. CHeck it out all around see if it has rust or missing/broken parts and such. But thats still a good deal.

Yeah, I would only think it could be the ECU. Would a busted ECU keep it from starting? Cause from sitting for a bit, I dunno if it would start just from the battery sitting for awhile. Would the ECU be hard for me to put it in? - thanks

Yeah, i'm still thinking about getting it, I love my Sevens. What would be things that could have happened otherwise? Blown fuses, ECU, battery......anything else down the line that could be bad and better yet, very costly?
