Compression=103 w/100kish miles

I ran a compression test on a t2 motor and got these numbers, I know that at about 90, its bad, and about 120 is brand new. So at about 100, how much longer until rebuild considering a nice daily driver?

those are good numbers. How long it will last is up to how you drive it and maintain it.

EDIT: How many miles on the engine?

Compression is obviously a good thing, but I wouldnt say at 90k its rebuild time RIGHT AWAY..my buddy and I both ran our engines for a longgg time on about 90#'s on both rotors..they still pulled and ran good.

Oil changes, leting its see its powerand, and actually driving it will probably help the most.....

You got one word... It's the almighty Marvel Mystery Oil! It's in a red bottle and you can buy it at Auto Zone or Advanced Auto parts. It's two cycle engine oil and does wonders for rotaries... and lawnmowers!

When I got my T2 stock with 113k it was sitting at 100 on both rotors. I'm confident mine will last another 20k. If you keep it stock and maintain it well it could easily last till 150k.

IT IS NOT TWO CYCLE ENGINE OIL! and do not use it as such

it is a fuel system cleaner with lubricant in it (basically kerosen)

it can be used in the fuel system i was running about 4oz to a tankfull before i removed my OMP

or it can be used in your oil use the whole quart on your next change i never did this cause it seems like ti would thin out the oil alot

my compression was 69-70 all around and the Mazda mechanic(shop foreman) said that is 'normal/ok' on paper and when I asked him he said it was perfect....is he stupid?

Yes, yes he is. Is it running okay? with those numbers I would think it would run like ****, if at all. My guess if it's running decent is he performed the compression check incorectly.

I believe the FSM states that 85 is the lowest acceptable number.

If he said 6.9-7.0 it would be a different story. Those are the type of numbers a rotary specific compression checker spits out.
