Complete!

So i finally got my rims and tires. This project is getting close to being done. I had posted earlier about this car being in storage for 10 years and the help everyone gave me to get it.going again. Thanks! The only thing I have left is a stereo system!

Beautiful.

It's taken me months of work, trying to perfect every detail, and mine still isn't nearly as pristine as yours.

Congratulations

Thank you. I just got lucky and was able to find this car pretty much in this state. Like I have mention before, this car only has 27000 miles on it. It had been sitting up in storage for 10 years, only for the original owner moving and he not having the time to get it running again, I was able to buy it. $4500. I put about $500 in parts and $1200 for tires and rims. Going to have a stereo system put in that will set me back $1200 and I am going to tint the windows.

I got mine for $1600, no rust, rebuilt engine ~10000km ago. However, someone had tried to swap the interior and I had a grey dash, red manual window doors, torn grey seats, and no center console. Also all the defroster vent covers were missing. What was there was clean though. I got perfect condition OEM leather seats (maroon), red power window doors, red center console. I figured if I'm going to have a two-tone interior, I'll go all the way. So I painted the little ring that surrounds the keyhole red, and I got red pedal covers (Japanese ones I got for $8 at the goodwill). It actually turned out looking okay, it looks somewhat like it is a stock two-tone interior (although this was never offered on rx7s, so other enthusiasts can tell the difference.) There are machined aluminum vent covers available online, but $90 shipped plus converting to $CAD means I will have to pay $120 or so. So I'll live without vent covers until exchange improves.

Also I had to swap hatches because whatever dumbass applied the tint to my original hatch (PO had it done) scraped off all the defogger traces. Luckily there was a guy near me who was happy to trade for his hatch. So I have to get my new hatch painted to match the rest of the car.

Glad to see you got one for a decent price in good condition though, it's hard to find them like that. Just like any affordable sportscar, most of them have been ruined by 19 year olds who think they're Vin Diesel. Pristine ones are hard to find.

is that a joke? because i couldn't tell.

since more than 50% of all FCs were this color, when you went to a meet it was a rather monochromatic event.

nice clean car you found there, lucky find that someone stored it well.

I don't doubt that. I think out of all the different colors, red looks the best. It seems to really stand out more than other colors. Of course this is the only color I have seen in person, so I could stand to be.corrected!

It's just as effective to be corrected whilst sitting, so take a load off.

I like red, but they also look really stellar in bright white. Like the 88AE

Looks great. Would look even better if you put a set of lowering springs on it! 1/2 to 3/4 inch lower all around would be perfect.

Thanks. Those are JNC wheels. 17x8 in front and 17x9 in back. I went with 225/45 in front and 255/40 in back.

So the first time it has been on the.road in 10 years, I went to the gas station to fill up with non ethanol gas. As I waited for the car in front of me to move, the guy filling up stopped what he was doing and asked me what kind of car it was. The dude was way younger that 30 years old. He could not get over how clean it.was. I have had many folks wondering how I was able to find a car like this one that is in showroom state. Told them... got lucky!

By Friday I should have stereo system installed. Decided with 2 each 10 inch Polk subs custom mounted where the 2 unused storage boxes are behind the seats, Alpine replacement speakers front and back, Pioneer BT stereo, and Alpine amp. When installed I will post pics!
