coldstart and tb mod, questions

I have a few questions about this, I have searched and not found enough info. Now when people port their tbs they removed the coldstartup part? If they do what else is there that I can remove to completely get rid of the coldstart feature.

Why do you want to get rid of the cold start? Without the cold high idle, its a major pain driving the car in any weather for the first few minutes...Forget about temperatures below zero...

Yeah, I'm forced to abuse my parking brake or not be lazy and heel-toe.

If I did that I'd have to stay on the gas until it warmed up all the way. Might as well drive it.

No actually I didn't. The double throttle system and the thermowax (cold fast idle) are completely separate systems, and you don't have to remove them both. The thermowax can be left in place functioning properly when you remove the double throttle system.

If they do what else is there that I can remove to completely get rid of the coldstart feature.
Why would you want to remove the system that lets your engine idle properly when cold?

Note that since you have an NA, there's not much point in doing this anyway. Little to no gains..

That's only on Turbos. On both Turbo and NA TB's the upstream secondary throttle plates are held closed until the engine warms up, but operate differently after that. On Turbos they operate in tandem with the downstream throttles, but the opening rate is damped to prevent hesitation when the throttles are rapidly opened. Removing them improves throttle response because there's now no delay in the secondary ports receiving air. On NA's they're simply held open all the time so there is no throttle response improvement to be had.
