try holding the gas to the floor and then cranking it. It of is indeed flooded, it should start within about 10 seconds.

Are you sure that will work? i usually just pull out the fuel pump fuse (egi inj) in the engine compartment. Crank the engine for 10 seconds then put it in. Im getting tired of it though, especially when its minus 15 out

well pulling the egi fuse in the engine bay doesnt fix whatever is happening for me neither does pulling the fuel pump relay under the dash. if i let it sit for about 15 minutes it will usually start but the colder it is the harder it is to start. it wouldnt start at all last night so i had my girlfriend pushing me across Walmart parking lot with her car. and we had to push it across the whole parking lot to get it to fire by push starting it. it used to start right away if you push start it... here is something funny...i used to be able to hear my fuel pump kick on when i turned the key on without starting it but now it doesnt turn on then anymore, what could cause that? Maybe my afm is screwed up...come one i need ideas this is my ONLY running car.

Putting the pedal to the floor will not work in an '88. That only works in '89+.

Have you had your compression checked? Cold flooding is a bad sign...

Injectors original? Consider getting them cleaned, though I would do a compression test as a first step.

well i dont have a compression tester but i did remove the spark plugs and egi fuses and crank the motor there was 3 strong, even pulses from both rotors so im assuming my compression is fine...it runs ***** to the walls so i really dont think its compression. the motor was rebuilt 60-70k miles ago and i dont know if they replaced the injectors then or not because it was before i owned it. What do you think about the fuel pump Aaron? I used to be able to hear it humming when i had the key in the on position right before i started it and now i dont hear it anymore. Is it supposed to be running or not when the key is on?
