it doesnt bring cold ar from anywhere it keeps the engine hot air from you filter.just kinda seals it where only the air under the car may enter the intake

IT will help with the cold air if you have the headlight cover along with it.

Thats a nice part. If you want to get cold air in there remove your flash to pass lenses and cut a hole next to the headlight. I might buy one when I get my tax return back in a few weeks.

Nothing like having a few hundred dollars coming out of no where!!

Do you think you could make a fresh air head light cover cheaper than the ones that are sold on the net?

I'm unsure about this design, but I kept the stock intake snorkel that sits on top of the radiator, then built my air box around it so when the car is in motion it forces cool air into the air box enclosure.

hmm does this do much...in terms of performance or whatever...like does it help get cold air or something? im not really sure the purpose of this. sorry noob question but i jus thought it wouldnt hurt askign since this thread is alreayd on them. and peopel do see to want them...so i assume hteres a purpose? im assuming it forces in air...but really is it worth it? does it really force in anymore...well i mean i read this thread n it says it does force it in so i guess this is a stupid question...but i still like to know more..if there is any more? haha

Unless active measures are taken to duct cool air into the enclosure, it really functions more as a heat shield than a cold air box. The exhaust manifold and turbo are both right there behind the air filter, so it's a good idea to have something to prevent the engine from sucking hot air. An enclosure like this will simply maintain a space where the heat from the exhaust manifold and turbo won't build-up. A cold air box will have ducting of some sort to actually direct the cooler air from outside of the engine bay into the enclosure.
