Coilover question

I'm looking for a set of coilover's that have a low drop to em, new to the scene so not really familiar with what's out there and available. Was in VW's for about 6-7 years and had a set of H&R Ultra-Low coilovers but not having any luck finding anything like em for a RX7. Anyone know of anything?

Try a set of Megan's or some of Tein's coil-over kits. They're pricey but worth it in my mind...

I have heard the Megan's coilovers are not of very good quality. w0ppe usually knows his stuff, but I'm going to have to disagree with him on that one.

Tein Flex will get you the drop you need and the stiffness increase is great. They are adjustable to I believe 2" drop from stock ride height, but don't quote me on it.

Mine has a 1.5" drop, I and I wouldn't want any lower than that. I have actually scraped on the fuel filler caps on the ground at gas stations, and have damaged my exhaust several times on bumps.
It will also add a lot of camber to the tires, which will cut their life by 1/3 or more.

I have seen Megan's sets have performed quite well on most other cars. I've used Tein's before so I'm biased towards them. As far as the suspension goes, RX-7s aren't that different than any other vehicle. Primary reason coil-overs may go bust is usually they have not been setup correctly for the course. Softness on the road is good for comfort, less tyre waste, and lets the coil-overs absorb; rather than impact bumps on the non-smooth surface.

FC's don't like being slammed. If you lower it more than about 1" in the back then you need to do something about camber, as you'll have tire killing negative camber back there. It also throws out the suspension geometry all around (bad camber curves, bumpsteer, etc), causes scrapes and bumps and so on.
