TX Codes 11 and 51 help.

The car is a 89 vert.
O.k so the old ecu had burned up on my car and I found out that the idiot light board was also burned out. I was driving the car and didn't know the check engine light was on. Now that I have replaced both of those items I found out that I am getting code 11 and 51. Code 11 is the intake air thermosensor but I can't seem to figure out where it is. Any help on that?

Code 51 is the fuel pump resistor relay. But I dont know what to look for to figure out whats wrong with it. The car runs and drives fine. I just don't want to drive it that much because I'm worried about the ecu getting burned up again. Any help on these 2 issues would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe the intake air sensor is located on the driver's side lower intake towards the firewall. It's maybe 1 inches long.

I fixed both codes today. I replaced the thermosensor for code 11. For code 51 my resistor box was shorting out. I replaced it. Now the car doesn't have any codes and runs a lot better.

I have a new issue now that is even worse. When driving the car the check engine light will come on and the car will sputter/backfire and try to die. After a few minutes the check engine light will go back off and the car will run fine. After a couple minutes it does it all over again. I barely made it back home.Right before I got home the check engine light went back off and the car ran fine. I tried to check for a code but it wouldn't show up.

What might cause this?

Also the tach kind of goes crazy when the check engine light pops on.

I know this is an old thread, but Thanks Datz! I've been trying to figure out where and what the !@#% is code 11. Goes to show that a little research and a search button do help out.
