Clutch Suggestions Please!!!

Hi guys, i finally got my turbo vert back from the shop and the gas problem is fixed. It was the fuel pressure regulator.

I was wondering if a turbo II clutch and a n/a clutch would be the same. The reason i ask this is because i know i have a tII engine, but i dont know if it has a tII transmission so i dont know what to buy.

Once we figure out what clutch i need, are there any good performance clutch kits for a lower price?

Thanks!

I believe the tII clutch has a slightly larger diameter than the n/a. I also think that there is some degree of interchangability between the two, but I forget the particulars.

I think I know, but I'm not sure--I'm going to try and double check my info, but I can't remember where I read it.

According to Mazdatrix, the tII clutch is either 235 (S4) or 240 mm (S5). All n/a clutches are 225 mm. The interchangability I was thinking of is probably between the two tII clutches. I don't think the tII and n/a clutches would be interchangable.

Edit: And as someone already stated, it seems like the splines on the input shaft would dictate which clutch you need.

it will determine which flywheel you have on your car.

alright guys, thanks so far, i will get under there and see how many bolts there are for the transmission. Heck, while i'm down there, for draining my tranny, how many quarts do i need and what kind of tranny fluid would be best? I guess it would depend on the tranny huh?
