Question Clutch suggestion?

My clutch is slipping so it's time for a new one. I drive an 87 n/a and it's got a true dual exhaust setup, and cone filter. I won't be modding my RX7 much more than that. Is it necessary for me to go with a racing clutch like ACT? Or am I fine going with a stock clutch?

http://srx7.com/sr86clch.html get the package deal. when you get a light weaight flywheel its like free horsepower. i mean free by you dont have re tune anything because you get horsepower by relieving stress on the engine.

Go with an ACT. IMO, they are the best buy for your money.

Hey There I belive i need a new clutch.. maybe u guys can help me out.
well my car seems to grab just fine if i drop the clutch.. but it will no longer chirp when i slami it into second (it used to). It also seems that some times when i give it gas.. the engine rev's up but it doesn't seem like i go much fast.... sounds like a clutch problem, or something worse?
thansk alot.... oh and if i need a new clutch what kind should i get?

ACT, there is no alternative there is no competition

Whatever you do however, dont buy a Centerforce. Ive heard too many horror stories.

I got that package deal over four months ago. I still love it. That 9.5# flywheel is the greatest. It'll make your car feel alive. The clutch is great. It replaced a CFDF setup (blame the previous owner) the felt like junk. Albeit it was old, but fundamentally it felt bad all along. With the ACT setup there are no complaints. I'm not putting down that much power mind you. It's an '89T2 mildly upgraded (so far).

Get a CAP clutch. www.capclutch.com I have one for my n/a, and it is a lot better than stock. If you are not going to mod too heavily, then just get that kit. I paid $130 w/ shipping for:Pressure plate, clutch disk, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing! Very good quality, that took only 2 days to get here!

I will eventually get an ACT, but not until I do some more modding/autocrossing.
