Clutch stuck please help

I need some help. I bought my car without problems and now I think the clutch just gave out on me. I was driving it the other day without problems and now it doesn't feel right and gets stuck.

The problem: The clutch is stuck to the floor. It also doesn't allow me to go to a different gear. (Ex. I put it on reverse and the clutch is stuck on the floor and won't let me out of reverse.)

What do you guys think the problem could be and how I can fix it.
Anything will help thank you.

check it, and also check for leaks... also check to see if the clutch slave is any good, theyre known to go out..

It could be the clutch master or slave cylinder. Most of the time it's best to replace both and the hose connecting them. It is very common for one to go shortly followed by the other once you replace the original defective one.

The clutch system is closed loop, so if you clutch is sticking to the floor you are losing hydraulic pressure and/or leaking fluid. You should change you master and slave clutch cylinders, it might also be a good time to replace the little line that goes to the slave too, it's cheap.

funny story....
I was moving my vert from NC to AL. stop to get gas and the pedal stuck to the floor. Luckily I was going to change a few parts and had a stainless clutch line, Master and Slave already. Changed them all at the gas station and continued my drive to AL.

No one helped me.. I got her done by myself.. :P Was not fun. but got it after awhile because i forgot to pressure up the master clutch before i put it in.. SO i had a broom stick and pressed the clutch as i held my finger over the hole to build up pressure... then connected the line and bled the slave also with the broom stick. HAHA

You don't HAVE to have someone else. You can use an empty soda bottle with brake fluid in it and a hose.

Right. You also don't NEED to start your car to take it to the grocery store. But it makes it a whole lot easier if you do.

**** that nonsense... Speed Bleeders. Or some old vacuum line with a check valve works in a pinch.

If you have a long ice scraper or pipe, you can wedge between the seat and pedal, you can get it done. But that's a lotta moving around.

Mine just started doing the same thing. Happens all the time usually at slow speeds thank god not highway speeds, always seem to do it while in a parking lot. I pull it up with my foot and it grabs right away, just throw it in neutral and pump it a few times till pressure returns. I checked my slave and the fluid was low, so I know I got a leak somewhere, probably going to change the slave and master cylinder soon, did it before on my first gen.

Some advice for changing it, its pretty easy and common sense, but when I did mine It was my first time and I messed up. I put in something backwards, the part that goes near the transmission I forget what its called, and yea messed alot of things up. So don't force anything into that hole it should just rest on it, trust me.
