Angry clutch problems

Me and the GF were on the way to saturday ,arket today and the cluch pedel started feeling all spomgy and finally just went to the floor and stopped working. I had the car towed back to my house and hoping I can fix it tonight, if it needs differant parts I can take them off my parts car.

When I press the clutch down with my hands I can hear a ptssss kinda air sound on the other side of the fire wall, I tried bleeding the master cylinder but I dunno if I did it right. If I light pump the clucth for a little bit it will spring back and will allow me to put it in gear but once the clutch goes all the way to the floor it woln't come back unless I pump it up with my hand again.

what can I do to fix this thing?

all help is greatly appreciated,
thx guys

your best bet is to go down to autozone and buy the haynes manual, the answer is in there, think its around page 35 actually. the haynes manual is the best thing i ever bought for my car

I checked the master, no fluid is leaking and I bleed it but it still didn't fix the prob

I have the FSM downloaded to my computer so I figured haynes isn't needed

are you sure all the air is out or it could be the clutch master because mine would do that but only if you held the pedel down for a while then the car would start to go by it self and somtimes the pedel would stay down

Have your GF or other friend depress the clutch while you listen. Look for bubbles or anything else in the master cylinder (and I assume you know we're talking the CLUTCH master cylinder) that might indicate a leak.

Listen for the phsssht sound is it coming from behind the engine (i.e the slave) or around the master.

Other than that, all I can tell you is that it's going to be in one of those two systems, the clutch is incredibly simple, and if you're hearing what sounds like air being forced out, and the clutch pedal goes to the floor, it shouldn't be hard to fix. New MC and Slaves aren't that much money, the MC can be a bitch to install, (you'll spend some quality time with your head where your feet should go )

yeah I relized how much of a bitch it was to get the MC out then my gf was looking through some paper work when she bought the car. She had the master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced with new ones when she bought it. Well the shop that did it has a 12 month warrenty I swore I would never take my or her car to the shop ever again (want to fix it myself) but since its free I said WTF so its getting towed there today (free thanks to AAA )

Thx gor the help guys
