Clutch pedal on the floor with no pressure?

Hey guys

Use to be able to pump the clutch pedal when the motor was on and build pressure to drive it..now pedal just stays in the floor and wont build pressure i pull yhr pedal.up and it just springs back down....there is a slow leak outside the car but not sure where it's coming from.
Any help on where to look or what's possibly gone wrong would be appreciated

Check your clutch master cylinder reservoir. It is on the far driver side firewall. if the fluid is dark, it is time to bleed. Since you can't build pressure, you will most likely need a bleeder kit or a gravity bleed. Connect a hose to the slave bleeder and crack open the bleeder. let the fluid drain out into a pan. Refill the master as it drains. do no let it get low or there will be air in there. Repeat until the the fluid looks yellowish clear. The slave cylinder is on the transmission below the oil filter area. You might need to remove the oil filter to get to it.

After this, you might be able to build pressure again. If it does, typically it will just buy some time before the system just fails. If it doesn't, it is time to replace one or both units. I will post a link to the FSM if you need it.

thanks for the info... the clutch fluid did look a little dark on the reservoir on the driver's side when I looked today have to get a bleeder kit and hopefully that fixes it.
I'm in Australia car is red so i think it will be a different set up.

The fact you need to build pressure is already wrong.

Expect one or both cylinders to be gone and replace the faulty one or just both.
