Clutch w/ no pressure and fluid leaking (?'n)
the Engines in and clutch is bolted down and everythings ready to start up..
BUT the clutch has no pressure, it slams straight to the floor with no resistance and doesnt build up any pressure. As I had my friend pump the pedal I watched from the Tranny hole and saw fluid seeping from the 'boot' of the Arm that Pushes the Clutch Fork in.
Does anyone know whats happening and how to fix it?

Is this part of your plan for a new way of power-shifting? he he
or maybe you just got confused, your suppose to slam the gas pedal to the floor!
Only your friends can tease you this way…
Seriously though it sounds like the slave cylinder has failed, but be sure the clutch arm is installed correctly first. If it’s wrong it can allow the slave cylinder’s piston to be pushed out too far. IF that's all that happended you MIGHT be able to line it up and press it back in just using hand pressure. You'd need to open the bleeder valve first. Good luck.

Hey Eric,
From the sounds of it you were able to get the PP bolted on before the alignment tool got there huh?
Also if the rod isn't popped out of the slave cylinder. It will need at least the rebuild kit listed on the page OR the new unit which is almost a better bet if there is any damage at all to the cylinder. The walls usually get pitted after all these years. Then they need to be replaced.

David & Big Isle, Mahjik, etc....
Thanks for the tips guys!.. perhpas the line got jerked around while I was trying to get the engine to set in the mount holes.
Ill get check those things out.
And BigIsle, Ill still need the tool, I have 3 bolts bolted down on the PP just to roll it over to a guy with a lift who Im just going to have re-attach the clutch and Pressure Plate correctly. And If I cant, fix the leak from the clutch slave cylinder.

I had the same problem when I put in my slave cylinder. It wasn't installed correctly. Make sure that the silver nub of the cylinder is in the seat of the clutch fork. If you take the small metal plate off the top drivers side of the bell housing, you'll see where the nub of the slave cylinder should go (it's a little "seat" that it fits right into). Also, if its leaking, then it has probably overextened (b/c it didn't hit the fork) and the piston may have popped out. You might have to put the whole thing back together again. But this is very easy. good luck .

Yeah after reading these posts I believe it to be over-extended too.
Ill pull it out and inspect whats going on. I see the diagram in the manual so Ill try to fix what I can.
thanks for the insight!
