Clutch Line
I am having the Clutch hydraulics(master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch line) replaced next week. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the stainless steel braided line versus the OEM line? I want to go with the stainless. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help and advice,
Jimmy

It's been my experience and a few others that ss Clutch Lines were the culprits of exploding Slave Cylinders. I went through a host of them before I put a new OEM one. Mind you all parts were brand new when Installed and not everyone has experienced the same symptoms as I have. To say the least - be warned.

Yeah, I had Mazdatrix telling me otherwise!
A new Clutch Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, fluid and a new Mazdatrix ss Clutch Line was used. I think I popped 2-3 of them and my highly reputable mechanic popped the last Slave Cylinder before the new OEM was used...It's been both a learning experience and fine since.

This is an interesting thread...
I was told a long time ago that a certain MR-2 JTCC team was sticking with OEM Toyota rubber clutch lines, as SS lines were not reliable and causes clutch hydraulic failures. I've always remembered that and always run the stock OEM Mazda unit on my FC. I've had very little problems with the stock OEM Mazda clutch hydraulics, so I feel no need to replace it with something "better". I don't know what the need to "upgrade" to a SS clutch line, except for having something that will outlast the life of the vehicle - is it worth it for killing all the other clutch hydraulic components?

This makes it hard to decide? I am going to try the ss line and see what happens? If something goes wrong I know to switch back to the OEM line. Thanks for all the feedback,

I guess I could have mentioned that I Installed a brand new ACT Clutch and a freshly machined FD Flywheel at the time of this problem - If It's relevant. The boot, off the Slave Cylinder, were blowing holes until I swapped In a new OEM one...but whatever.
I believe RPeck was experiencing something simular but he has yet to come back to the thread that he made mention of, with this being simular to the symptoms I had.
