clutch chatter please help

clutch chatter please help

i just got a 87 turboii with a new clutch in it (the previous owner said it was an XTD racing clutch)
i get a fair amount of chatter when im slipping the clutch every once in a while

will this cause damage to the car?

May have oil on the disc or you just need to get some Redline diff chatter fluid.

i would pull the inspection plate off and take a look up there, I had what i thought was a bad throw out bearing and turned into a bad tranny (Clutch and all related parts were in exelent condition.)

Might be warped. Good news is you can find a good clutch and flywheel kit for about $250

but its new, and i found out that its an XTD stage 3 racing clutch (i heard these arent too good)

Flywheeel might not of been reserfaced when the clutch was done, so the disk is skipping/chattering aginst the flywheel. Do what AF said to see if it is covered in oil too.

Mazda doesnt recommend resurfacing of the flywheel. Not saying it never gets done, but I have never done it.
