Symptoms:

1. No power.
2. Low boost on full throttle (2-3psi)
3. temperature of engine 10degrees higher (digital thermometer)

Good possibility. Check the exhaust at the tailpipes while someone applies the accelerator. You may be able to feel the lack of exhaust. Check all intake hoses, clamps to be sure pressurized air isn't escaping somewhere. It will be quieter if the boost is only 2 or 3 lbs., but will not cause the temp to rise. Looks like it's time for a Bonez DP and hiflow cat. Install them, then give it a try.

I had the same problems with my daily driver... except the lack of boost (NA). It drove fine after i replaced the cat.

just take off the cats and put a straight pipe there, you dont need them.

my $0.02, it's blown. i just bought a s5 na that had supposed clogged cat/s. first time i got it started, running on one rotor. ie- no power, slow to rev, white smoke from the unburnt gas, and cats will start to glow if it runs long enough. do a compression check.

does the engine start up and idle fine. If so, I doubt that the engine is blown.

uhm, ive gone through one motor, but the motor was a jspec, and had been through another owner in the states.

Its just REALLY cold out here, but i put my TF downpipe back on, boosts nicely now..a bit high though (1.1bar).

Thats with a ported wastegate. When i took the precat off (emissions testing) the whole thing collapsed and was in shards.

Thanks though. The engine only has 2800 miles on it
