Very possible. If you've already done a FULL & COMPLETE tuneup, had the injectors professionally "you send them off" cleaned & blueprinted, and cleaned all your engine & exhaust grounds.

Besides RPM issues, the engine feels like it's straining & the car has no power.

Take your cat off, hold one end up to a bright light like a naked 100 watt bulb, and look into the other end.. you should be able to see some sort of light through it.. it'll look kinda shimmery like lookin through a very small honeycomb.

if you turn it up to look at it and a bunch of lincoln log lookin pieces of ceramic sh#t hit you in the face... you may just have found your problem..

the previous owner of one of my cars ran the car up onto a curb and smashed the cat.. The cat was full of what basically looked like little iceburgs. here's the hitch.. the holes in the cat only go one way.. when the pieces get turned sideways, they basically turn into a wall.

the car would run, idle, but if you tried to get on it.. it would cough, spit, and act like you were killing it!

Thread theft in progress......

Ok my car idles a little irratic, but runs like a bat out of hell! She is timed right and has a new tps and themosensor, My exhaust isn't the greatest. from the rb header to the back is receint but i think it is clogged, i get uneven pulses from the mufflers and a lot of back pressure, will the blown up cat internals travel through the exhaust system so much that i will need to get the whole thing replaced or what?
