OMP Removal and Instalation

Okay so im pretty sure my oil metering pump is leaking around where its connected to the engine does anyone have a picture of the back of the pump, i need to see if the O-ring is a typical shaped item (I have a whole kit of Orings) and can the rear gasket be resealed w/ slicone or is it a special type gasket? also do the lines usually need resealing w/ silicone around where they connect to the pump? I just want to get some info for when i remove it tomarrow and reseal it

thanks,
brendan

P.S. I know most of you guys will suggest Premix but i do want to keep it on the vehical.

The o-ring is a fairly small diameter for it's size. I got mine at Mazdatrix, cheap... Wouldn't recommend trying to silicone the gasket- there's lots of little orifices you might plug up when you bolt that sucker down. Took mine off & started premix 'bout 4 months ago, car must not have liked that, she's been breakin down every week now, seems like (different things)...

I can get you a pic tomorrow if you will still need it. However, I can upload a pic of a fresh O-ring tonite. The o-ring, is not really an O-ring at all - its really an oval shape.

Also, keep in mind that the O-ring for an S4 and an S5 ARE different. Make sure you get the correct one. I would not recomend using sealent down there.

Yeah the S4 Oval rings are smaller.

Since I was given a S5 oring I jusr reused the previous ring with some sealant on the external part of the ring to help make a better seal.

Well, There's 2 side to it.

Getting the damn OMP lines and OMP washers and stuff right is a bastard.

I just put the S4 Mech OMP on my S4 front housing S5 engine monster and I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I also broke one of the damn OMP lines so I am using one of my NA lines and they are prebent so it's not totally liking it. Those OMP lines are $25++ for each one.

If you can remember to drop a small bottle of premix in your car every tank of gas then it would be easier for the install portion. Also removes extra crap under the hood.
