Question claim to get engine running

hey guys. sorry if this comment/question seems kind of naive. i really apologize. right now my FC has got a engine that is pretty much fucked from what i know. its my first one, but over the years i didnt have one, ive done my research. did a compression test, and front rotor got 0 all around and the rear got like 60 for each. now this guy came in today claiming that he has worked on rotaries for a long long time. he says he can get my engine to run with some marvel mystery oil and i guess just letting it smoke out. im sorry if im not right but, i could almost smell the bullshit. what is everyones take on this? i mean i can get the oil for like nothing, so it cant hurt to just try it. but is it even worth it? aight guys, thanks alot for your time with my stupidity, lol. take it easy.

if you have stuck seals then yes you can if you have blown seals then no chance it will start it will need a rebuild.

Yeah, his reasoning is that your seals are stuck, severe carbon buildup, and MMO will free them up. People also use ATF, did it myself, to dissolve the carbon and make the seals float as the rotor spins. As stated above, if this is your problem then it might help, but if they are blown, then your only option is a rebuild

could sea-foam also help out? also if i were to do this on my own, what would i need to do with either the MMO or the Seafoam? Dude sounded full of **** askin $100 to get it running. But then i asked him what he was planning on doing and he told me, lol. So a money save for me, lol.

Pull the plugs and put couple of spoons of MMO, SF, or ATF in each hole, spin the rotor and do the same, spin and do the same till all seals are covered. Replace the plugs and let is sit for 24h. Then start the engine, make sure you are outside cause it will smoke like you would not believe, especially when ATF is used...

sounds easy enough. i have this gut feeling that it isnt going to work though, lol. ill give it a shot though. about how long should it smoke for? how long should i let it run? should i rev it up at all and if so to what RPM?

i bought a 89 S5 and it had a "blown" engine

put ATF in, let it sit for a day or so

fired it up and blam

it ran and revved alot better but a belt snapped, and its not been touched since, so i don't know now

plan on buying a belt tomorrow, i'll put it on and then let you know how it went

It depends how much solution you put in and what kind. Start it, let it idle then rev it slowly, don't overdue till you get a little temperature, don't rev it high cold. You will eventually see the smoke clearing, if it clears enough take it for the drive. BTW, watch your exhaust temperature as it will get hot.

Put about 1 tablespoon of ATF in each lower sparkplug hole.
Pull EFI fuse (actually there are 2 to pull out There both on the left in the engine fuse box next to the driverside shock tower).
Crank engine for 5-8 seconds. Let it sit for a while then install fuses.
Cross your fingers and hope that it starts! Also make sure you have a full charge or use jumper cables.

aight guys, sounds good. Would this mean anything: front rotor i was getting no compression and the rear only had 60 in each, yet it still turns over and can run, but there is alot of smoke. Looks to be oil, not coolant. Still a chance it could work out? Or does this raise any doubts?
