Sorry if its already common knowledge but i'm a Newbie here, I did a search but couldn't find the answer to my exact question. I actually dont have an RX-7 yet. But i'm looking into getting a Turbo II. My question is which years have the tail lights with the circle lights in them. I'm not 100% sure, but i think its on the 89-91s. Let me know if i'm wrong.

I found a good deal on an 87 Turbo II, and it doesnt have those circle tail lights. I was wondering if you can just buy the circle style tail lights and just install them on the car, or does it require a bit of modification? Any help is appriciated.

they are from the 89-91's and they will fit in the 87 TII

 

'89-'92 had the circular tails.

Or you can go all out and convert to some Altezza clears... Booyeahka!

 

If you put the newer style(round) tail lights on an 86-88 car make sure you get the license plate piece between the tails as well.

Yeah Aarons how to made the job soo easy. The only thing not mentioned is getting the center piece as well. I tired to use my dremel on the piece but it just wouldn't fit, so I bought one off some guy here.

 

should be strait swap but wouldn't recomend Altezzas for ricy reasons
