Need Help With Electrical Problem
My 1987 turbo has electrical problems. First, the fan blower stopped working. More recently wipers only work on fastest speed. Also, brake and shift lights come off and on for no particular reason. Can anyone point me to an information source that can explain why this is happening and what needs to be done? Also, looking for repair facility in Minneapolis/St. Paul area if anyone has advice. (The dealer in St. Paul is pretty worthless.) Thanks.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Although all those things would have come up if you used the search function (upper right hand corner of this page), the problems are fixed as follows:
Blower probably the blower relay, but can also be related to a failing Logicon (climate control panel) or amp on the back of the Logicon.
Wiper: replace PCB wiper relay in switch.
See: http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/HOWTO/WIPER/wiper.html
or

brake light on dash: Low fluid in brake master cyl or CPU needs resoldering.
shift light comes on when driving, if a higher gear will give you better mileage. If it is coming on in 5th gear, the 5th gear switch on the transmisson is disconnected or damaged.
Try downloading one of the service manuals here: http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/2nd_gen_manuals.htm
