Chrome shield things

Does anyone know if they sell the chrome shields for the rear bumpers so that black crap from the exhaust doesn't ruin your paint? I'm getting it painted and I'm just a concerned father (87'turbo II, she'll be 15 this Febuary).

Yeah I think they are called CATS!

So if you removed yours... what I do for cars that are not driven on the street (as it is against the law to remove your CATS) and only as off road/race track vehicles, I cut a piece of roof aluminum flashing that you can get at Home Depot and shape it to form a guard.

Nah just making a point... Either his car is out of tune and he has no cats or his car is really out of tune and he has cats.

But I do believe that if you can get good power with a cat, and you only loose 5 hp having one, why pull it? You would make more HP pulling the stock fan, than removing a good flowing cat.

Smokers that are out of tune just make the government want to have tighter resrictions on emissions, and exhaust issues, which hurts everyone. Do you think that the emission rules in CA and other states are because the cars burn clean??? nah it forces people who don't tune their cars right to fix them.

Yeah, if his car wasn't tuned properly it could cause some problems. My brother's TII has a converter, and it makes good power.
