chrome paint for heat reflection?

didnt really know where to put this but i have a second gen so i put it here. my question is would painting intake manifolds with a very reflective quality chrome paint help with radiant heat transfer.

and no i dont want to do this to rice out my engine bay lol

Doubtful, IMO.

I'd guess that most of the manifold's heat is gained through conduction, which the paint wouldn't change.

The ideal color would be black for heat dissipation actually. Look up "black body radiator" on wikipedia. Will painting it any color really effect heat dissipation? No, not so much.

true but in my case with big glowing single running at max boost and power for pump gas theres a lot of heat radiation. maybe ill stick with heat shields.
thanks

correct me if i wrong but wouldn't a black manifold absorb radiation which would bring temperature up

Heat shields are going to help 100X more with the radiant heat from the turbo then any coating will.

Turbo blanket + wrapped mani/downpipe + LIM heat shield is about as good as you can really get.
