Question cheep calipers?

Where's a good place to buy rebuilt calipers? Good prices?
I'm wanting to get my 7 back on the road this spring and the brakes need attention... well....everything needs attention but that's another thread

Thanks,
CW

I replaced my siezed rear caliper with a cheap one from Autozone.

Side by side, it looked just like the original.

Call around to your local parts stores and ask them what it would cost, eg. Napa, etc. Depending how close you are to a major distribution center it may take them a couple of days to get one in.

Theres usually a specific brake parts supply company in town that will have the best prices. The one in Minneapolis is called Brake and Equipment Warehouse. You can get the new caliper fully "loaded" with new caliper bushings, copper grease, anti rattle clips, and pads. It's a really nice deal. If you want a firmer pedal get new brake lines, or SS braided brake lines. They can be made for around $20 a piece IIRC. Brakes are so important I always go with the best!

call a bunch of local parts stores in addition to the national chains ... you'll be surprised at the price differences (how fast they can get them to you may also influence your decision) ..

also, some will sell the calipers fully loaded (with the pads and springs) ... blah blah blah.
