cHECKING BAC VALVE

Is there a specific way to easily remove the electrical connector from the valve to check the resistance. Seems like mine is stuck on and I don't want to over power the thing and break it.Can it be done by hand or are pliers or the like required.

Unplug it, and put 12v to one pin and ground the other. It should click.

Thanks for the reply but what I need to know is does the connector just unplug or is there a particular way of removing the connector without breaking the connection point.

theres a metal clip around it on some cars, clip it off with a skinny screwdriver. Others may have just a plastic tab you have to press down on

I was discussing BAC valve removal with a fellow rotor head today and it was concluded that removing the BAC valve will gain you almost nothing and cost you the convenient function it provides.

It regulates your idle (such things a Air Conditioning and power steering require enough power to stall without BAC)

Precisely. And about all you gain is no longer having to replace it in case it ever would have broken.
