Question Check Engine Light...?

Hopefully this is a easy one... I just installed a K&N cone filter on a 90 GTU. The car is completly stock. Stock exhaust and manifold. The car still has the airpump. I also put a small filter on the tube from the airpump.

The check Engine light is now flickering on and off. It's happening at no specific time but usually on hard accelleration. It's off 97% of the time.

Is this something I should be worried about...? The car feels absolutly fine. Any ideas...? Thanks.

These #'s you're listing above, is that supposed to be the amount of times the check engine light blinks/flicks on and off...? It didn't seem like it was blinking any particular number of times, just coming on...... then off. Sometimes longer then the last, with a couple of minutes between blinks..? I'll take it for a ride today and pay CLOSER attention to it.

Here's how you actually get the error code:

http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/codes.html

When it comes on when you are driving I don't think it's going to tell you anything other than there is a error code stored in memory.

I agree. I used it myself without any problems further proving that write up to be idiot proof.
