cat romoval

Ok, so I'm about to run over to a shop and ask them to make me a straight pipe that I can bolt in place of my cat. My question is should I go ahead an get on the will bolt between the manifold and the Y-pipe?

I've searched some threads and still haven't found a straight answer as to whether this will leave me with enough back pressure in the system. Am I correct in thinking that as long as I have stock or similar mufflers than back pressure won't be a problem even with the 2 pre-cats removed as well? That seems to be the consensus I've seen.

Thanks in advance everybody.

If you have the stock catback, it should leave you with enough backpressure to open your 5th and 6th ports.

If you possibly can, remove the "iron box" collector & get a header.
Loosing the cats helps, but on an NA a header makes the most difference.
After the header you need a highflow cat or a pre-silencer.
Check out the pics & sound in my sig below.

Depends, the gaskets are made of metal, hence, they rust very easily. If the gaskets are rusted, yes you'll have to replace them, if not, they should be fine to use again.
