So I took off my front cover to see if my torrington bearing was still in place after i forgot to depress the clutch when removing the eshaft bolt, which was still in place and i did a whole shitload of work for nothing, now i need to put it back on. Do i need to remove the CAS and restab it after i put the front cover on or can i just align it, then put the cover on? will i need to check the timing again after this? ive never messed with my CAS or timing before, so i have no idea what im doing.

I would put the cover on, then put the CAS in, and check the timing with a timing light. If you have a Haynes manual, it will show you what to do. Its not too difficult. Do a search for CAS and you will find some threads with pictures and stuff.
