Carter fuel pump too short help

hey guys finally getting the tank and fuel pump ready.
well today I finally tackled the fuel pump.
I bought the carter fuel pump and its too short after soldering cables.

looks like i might have to cut the pipe but i really dont want to do that.
or just order a new pump thats has the original size.
Only reason i bought this was bc it had the oring gasket and the filter. This was concidered daily driver on rock auto.
should I be okay getting a economic fuel pump on rock auto?

Im pretty dumb for not comparing. It came with a thick bottom bushing and thought it might be just long enough to work. Well it didnt.

I ended up buying a GMB 5701012 fuel pump on ebay for cheap. Its still a premium pump. I just dont want to cut this pipe.
