there's always a half assed way of doing anything but i didnt think you had to remove the whole dash for replacing the front carpet though...armrest/consol/arivent&sorround then sliding up the carpet under what is left then reassembly..alot easier if have 2 or more persons helping

The carpet is held In,Under the Middle Hump, with a Plastic PIN.it sort of give the Mfg'r some reference to Center for Install.I found it out the Hard way..Now,as afar as getting the Carpet OUT without Dash removal,YES it can be done,If you remove the Middle Bolts on Each Side of the HUMP,and also Remove the Shifter assembly and Surround,as well as the Middle console,SEATS,,..I had to remove and replace the dash in my car as I was going a Different color anyhow.I found that With the Dash OUT,it is a BIT easier..BUT I am "disabled"(permanent injury)..so I need to take my Time, with Yanking Stuff..IF you have CUT as much excess carpet off from around the Hump, leaving a Bit to Tug on to remove,Then get someone to Lift the Middle of the dash UP,while you Pull,It should Bust that plastic Pin and let you take the Middle carpet Piece out...SUGGESTION: when you go to put the carpet back in,Cut the Insulation off the piece for the Middle Hump..it will make things go sliding in under the dash ALOT easier!

its not that hard to take the dash out.
takes about an hour if you never took a dash out in yourlife. The factory servicve manual is the best thing to look at while taking it out. It labels all the bolts that you have to take out.

taking it out is no biggie, but putting it in can be tricky, there isn't a lot of extra room to reconnect things.
