Alright, ive posted before and searched a little but cant find anything. My car starts up and runs but only if i give it a little gas. Otherwise it just revs to 1000 rpm and dies. Ive checked all my vacumm hoses and everything seems to be in order. Also, checked connection to afm and brake booster. I just put in a new lower intake manifold gasket and turbo gaskets so there shouldnt be a leak.

I noticed white smoke coming out of tail pipes and exhaust amnifold area. So, im hoping no internal water leaks.

Sound familiar to anyone.

try some soapy water on your vacc lines. Im almost sure thats it, or your pulling to much air into the engine.

something similar happened to my TII, it was the TID that came off the turbo, but even if i tried giving it gas it won't stay running.... i'd check the TID for big cracks if yours is a TII, otherwise *shrugs*

 

same thing happened to me, 88 vert

It was the AC compressor seizing although the dealer adjusted the TPS and missed it
