Now.. for a silly tid-bit question....

How do you figure? How can I check up close? How much does it cost to get a new one? And.. how does the clutch noise, make the course of action with a worn or old throw out bearing?

I guess I really am not understand - I'm still learning! =/
just going off of experience... from your description 99% of the time its a worn out throw out bearing.

The bummer is that to fix it; you have to pretty much do a clutch job. Sometimes shady mechanics won't replace the bearing when they do a the clutch like they should, but the throw out bearings really only last around 120K miles.

I suppose it could also be the torrington bearings in the motor, but it would be pretty hard to hear them.
