First of all your autometer guage is inacurate as hell. Dont go by that at all unless you are at full throttle. At any point that idiot guage can bounce all over the place.

Im not sure how the ECU works, but when you turn on the A/C, the BAC opens to raise the engine about 200 rpms. I guess it COULD be possible that the ecu doesnt richen the mixture beyond its normal idle.

I have a theory... maybe by turning the a/c on, you somehow change the voltage potential in your car... take a multimeter and measure the voltage with the a/c on and off... if it changes, that could throw off the reference points for the chip that decides what to light up.

If you had seem my documentary on the tv last nite, you would have seen that I found on the turboii I have, the o2 sensor read some godawfully high ohms when I touched the meter b/t the downpipe and the engine. The engine to batt neg was .1 ohm, Maybe .2ohm. I put in a jumper wire b/t the downpipe and the transmission and now the 02 to the batt neg is .2ohm. No, it does not make any sense. All metal parts attached to each other by metal bolts.

The n/a car does not have this problem. It has .1ohm b/t the 02 sensor and the batt neg terminal.

The turboii car now does not show any effect on the 02 reading when switching the a/c on and off.

Just for grins, get your meters leads on the 02 sensor and the engine and see how high the resistance is. Maybe a better bond b/t the exaust and the engine/batt neg terminal might help. Maybe not.

And a note: I know the 02 voltage does not come from the battery and is a chemical reaction inside the o2 sensor. So please.........
