that did the trick. it took 4 times to run through the procedure but it finally cranked.
i guess this is my induction into rotories?
never seen anything like that before.

Your welcome.
EDIT: You might consider making a fuel cutoff switch in the cockpit that you can reach without moving from the drivers seat. Just a switch that you can flip to turn off the fuel pump, and then be able to floor the pedal and start the flooded car.
