Car idles rough and won't run at all well

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my car. I checked compression and it was fine for both cylinders. It has a problem starting, but once it gets going it seems to idle ok enough, no good, but no large fluctuations in idle, though sometimes it stalls out. Theres a lot of black smoke coming out the exhaust which makes me think that it's running very rich. When I go to give it throttle, it slmost dies when I give it a lot of throttle and is very delayed throttle response. This is an issue that happened all of a sudden when I was driving, it went from perfectly fine to this condition one day while driving, to a point where when it happened the car stalled. There's a lot of things I can think may be wrong with the car now, like vaccuum because it seems to run (though very badly) at idle but it gets worse when throttle is added, more vaccuum at idle leads me to think vaccuum problem. But I didn't think that vaccuum problems could happen all of a sudden likethis issue did, which leads me to believe it might be an electrical issue. Anyone know of any electrical rpoblems that could be at fault for this, or anything that people think might be the problem would be greatly appreciated.

make sure your MAF is connected and if it is then test it. it sounds like a MAF problem to me.

Could also be a TPS adjustment issue

chances are you have a vacuum leak, if you are inclined to, pull the intake manifold off and search for popped off hoses.

May sound like a dumb question, but why pull the intake manifold off to look for popped off hoses?
