Just got an FC, and wondering what springs to get
I was wondering what springs i should get for my FC, i have tokico blues all around, and wanted to hear some opinions about it. I am going to drive it a lot, but its not going to be my DD so, something stiff but not too stuff. i heard racing beat and intrax were okay. any suggestions??
Well yea isnt that what happens when you lower a car??? EBAY springs are ****. There spring rates are never right and it will be a hell of a bouncy ride. If your going to do it you might as well do it right, and get a name brand ones. If your going the ebay route, you might as well cut the stock ones, cuz thats the ride your going to get.
what kind of springs you looking for? performance or lowering springs?
i have rb springs, those are performance ones, the springs rate is 130 front and 90 rear, according to mazdatrix(though i ordered it from racingbeat site)
ive heard intrax are lowering springs but lets see what others have to input.

i'm looking for more performance springs then just lowering. want a fair ride quality, so my gf don't bi*ch at me when she rides in it, but i like it stiff, can't have both but want something close to it.

I'm not sure if they're officially discontinued yet or not but I have Eibach Pro Kit springs with my Tokico Blues and I love the way it rides. They're pretty stiff though. Car looks good, back is a little higher than the front so it gives it a more aggressive stance.
I got the springs and shocks lightly used for 100 bucks along with a camber adjuster. Hard to beat deal.
Cheers,
Cody

Not to bust in on your thread man, but what brand coil overs can easily adapt to an 87 gxl with the "auto adjust susp." set-up? I'm probably going to go for tokico blues with eibach or tanabes as I can see they're a favored set-up on here, but curious on the coils for future reference....
