Car does not start after dash install

I'm having a no crank problem on my 87 TII. The radio and all the electronics work, but no crank when I attempt. Before the dash install, the car ran perfect. Could there be any plugs I missed? I'll do some more checking after work

By "dash install" do you mean your gauge cluster and housing? Or the entire dash? There should be nothing in your gauges that would keep the car from starting.

Do you hear a click and your radio dies out? Or just nothing?

.Sounds like the clutch interlock switch might not have gotten connected up or the ignition switch plug with the single wire colored Black/Green isn't connected up (feeds the clutch interlock switch and therefore the starter solenoid).

See the B/G wire in the attached jpg. That's the one that feeds the starter. Plug on the far left.

Found the problem: A wire for the starter kill on the alarm came loose from the ignition wiring, the guys that installed it did not properly crimp the connections. I went through the whole thing again and re-installed the unit. Car runs perfect now, thanks for the assistance!

You would think with all the wiring alarm install places do that they would have a working knowledge of how to properly install electronics. But a lot of them don't solder anything at all. Mostly tap splices and butt connectors, good to see you got it figured out.

true, and alot of them wont even hook up all the features of your alarm, just a simple splice job to get you out of there and onto another job so you dont see their shady work. I hate alarm shops always feel like they could be the ones stealing cars to boost their business lol
