Matt, Welcome to the Forum. Is your FC a TII or an N/A?.

Not starting issue sounds like bad ignition switch or starter solenoid. Not sure why it died on you though. Welcome to FC's....Land of electrical gremlins. It IS a 19 year old car!

wait wait wait...

You put the key on ACC for a little bit....then something beeps? THEN it will start?

If so, that is an aftermarket anti-theft system likely installed by a used car dealer. I have seen the same thing in a couple of other cars. Most of them come with a little remote that you can enter codes with. Dealers use it because they can issue temporary passcodes for them. If you don't make your payment...the passcode expires and *poof* no more car for you...it disables the ignition system. When you make your payment they issue you a new code and you're back in business.

yea it idles on its own it runs good just the starting issue is the only thing....the voltage gauge reads more then half, the alternator was replaced not to long ago...it does have a factory alarm so when u put the key in the door it will un-arm it self.... the battery is fine cuz the radio and wutnot works on acc so i just listen 2 music for a bit then it will start...but where i park it, its on a hill and i heard that these cars tend to flood could that be the issue maybe?

They do, but it doesnt sound like thats your problem. Does it crank at all when you try to start it? If so then it could be flooded, which can be solved a couple of ways - not really a big deal.

If your uncle's mom was the original owner...I doubt it has the alarm I mentioned. The beeping could be something unrelated like the power steering system. I actually just read in another post where a guy said his fuel pump wasn't kicking on untill like 10 seconds after he turned the key to ACC....maybe you have the same problem. Not sure what would cause that though.

I've actually had a lot of problems with dying and not starting right away due to bad battery connecters. They kept coming loose while driving and it would die and still have a good enough connection to run the radio but not start the car. Just my .02
