Question Thermostat FD to FC??

I have an FD Thermostat made by SARD, that opens at 170.

Can I install this in a 2nd Gen??

Isn't that kind of low? Whats wrong with your thermostat?

Nothing, but I do see my numbers go past 200 when on a track. I'm hitting high 7k-8K for about 35 to 45 minute runs.

A thermostat that opens sooner with do nothing at all for overheating. Once it's fully open (200degF with a stock thermostat, probably ~190degF with that one) if the cooling system isn't good enough temps will rise. This is very basic cooling system stuff.

It'll fit.
And going "over 200" is normal.
Keep the temps under 230F, and you should be fine.
