Cant turn off engine

Cant turn off engine

When I switch the ignition off the engine keeps running. There is no changes in idling or something. What could be wrong? The idle is at around 1400 rpm.

Year, turbo or non turbo?

Is there a turbo timer installed?

More than likely it is a bad ignition switch.

Its an 1987 turbo2.

I just killed it by popping the clutch in a gear so i havent tried if it keeps running forever.

Thanks Ill try rewire the alternator!
