cant shift at WOT

Hey guys, simple question with most likely a simple answer in which ive narrowed down i believe. It's always been tough to shift my car, always gotta push the shifter pretty hard to change gears, its pretty normal at a low rpm, but at a high rpm, its impossible to shift the car into the next gear, shifter just feels like its hitting a wall or it grinds baaaad, especially at WOT. Just changed my clutch fork, pivot ball, pilot bearing, and slave and master cylinder, bled thoroughly. Is it possibly my clutch disk is going bad?

Oh and as far as letting up the clutch, it grabs between 1/4 and 1/2 of the way up from the floor. But if i hold the clutch to the floor, and rev the car to 8K, then it starts to grab and pull the car forward..

So im thinking the disk is going bad, possibly starting to bend or separate? Any ideas anyone???

You're not using one of those centerforce clutches, are you?

I have a problem only with shifting at high rpms to third. At high rpms my tranny doesnt want to go into third or it grinds really bad. The grinding noise i was told were my syncs. To fix my problem i was also told to either switch trns fluid to something like royal purple or mt90 or replace my tranny.

I dont know if that helps but i would like to hear other peoples input also on your situation

Not syncros this time i dont think, replace the clutch master and slave cylinder, and the clutch line. It sounds like one has gone bad, its hard for you to shift because your clutch isnt fully disengaging

i have a similar problem, i also think it's the synchros. ,mine only has trouble going from 1st-2nd at high rpm, 3rd through 5th it goes in no problem. i have royal purple fluid which smoothed out overall shift feel, stainless line, master and slave no leaks with a new clutch and flywheel. in my case it was narrowed down because it only affects the 1-2 synchros and none of the other gears. if i let off the throttle it will go in without grinding but i have to wait for rpm's to drop.

Your clutch pedal may be out of adjustment, worse case scenario its your 2nd gear synchro which is very common. Read the FSM and adjust the pedal freeplay according to the specs. A worn clutch disc will not make it hard to shift into the next gear, the clutch is disengaged during gear shifts.

Look guys righ here, that has nothing to do with the syncros or a bad clutch disc. There has to be something wrong with the whole hydraulic assembly, or the pedal needs adjusting. If the clutch isnt fully disengaging then its gonna grind like a syncro is going bad and still let him go into gear with a little grinding.

yea it doesn't grind, its just not letting me in. (kinda like a bad date haha). anyways, i bet its my clutch pedal alignment, there is about 2 inches of play before it starts to get stiff and actually move the cylinder. i'll try that, thanks guys! and ill keep you posted!

Like i have been saying that means the cylinders arent exerting enough pressure to disengage the clutch

Check around the rod that pushes into the master cylinder from the inside of your car, i had a leak that i couldnt find for like 4 months because it was leaking past the plunger and running inside the car, also pull back on the rubber boot away from the slave cylinder towards the back of the car, the rod should be bone dry.
