Does the car crank? If so, then the starter works.

NEVER doe the ATF trick.

What is the problem you are having?

OK..."cranking" and "turning over" are the same thing. If the starter cranks the engine, then it is turning over, just not starting.

If the tach is not working, then the trailing coil is probably bad. The car will still run on the leadings only

I would start by testing leading for spark.

How did this problem start? Did it just die all of a sudden? Details.

okay how do i test for spark?

the problem traces back to when i intall an aftermarkety BOV

i had funny idle, i plug the TID, then the car will maintain idle but if i rev it the car would die

then i kep starting it cuz the car kept dying so went my battery

i replace the battery, then this problem occured

don't kno if they all tied?

should i do a compression test along with the spark test?

Does not sound like a compression problem if it used to start and run fine, but you could test anyways, never hurts to know what the compression on your engine is.

I agree with checking for spark, check all 4 plugs for spark and see what comes up. Good luck with it.

PS, if when you installed your BOV you disconected the intake (like the AFM and intake pipe) make sure that is all connected back up properly. Make sure the AFM is all connected right and check for any hoses not connected. Maybe when you installed the new BOV you left something unplugged? I dunno. Good luck.

It sounds like you really need to get a copy of the Haynes manual, or take your car to a qualified mechanic.
