Can u run a bnr stage2 turbo upgrade without a Mass air flow meter?

Thumbs up Can u run a bnr stage2 turbo upgrade without a Mass air flow meter?

I was just wondering if u can run without a mass air flow meter with a stage2 turbo upgrade from bnr..
Also does anyone have a pic of there stage2 on there car..What did u notice different about that turbo..

You must run an AFM/MAF unless you use an aftermarket ECU which uses MAP.

what would happen if u run it without a afm..But u have 720cc secondaries and a fuel pump..and stock ecu

Yes, if you buy a Stand Alone Engine Management System at the same time . But no if you are still running the stock ECU.

Interesting..There is a t291 that i am gonna buy and the guy has a ported motor from rx7trix and a bnr stage2 upgrade and he had a f-com in and took it out and i test drove it and the car ran excellent it has a hks filter and no MAF..Im sorry for stupid questons..

There were a limited amount of HKS VPC's that were made for the s5 turbo's. That's the only way you could run without the AFM on the stock ecu. It simulates the voltage the afm would be sending back to the ecu, so it still measures the air but without the boxy restriction.

So how can this be ..I swear it wasnt there...But do u think its safe to drive with 720 sec injectors and a fuel pump..not boosting crazy boost???

Yes, but it still won't run without an AFM. So its actually safer than with it
