Can i unplug this?

I was wondering if i can unplug this thing in the pics, cause i think it might be giving me problems, cause after i had my injectors cleaned the car wouldnt start, untill my brother unpluged this thing and then it started right up, but i pluged it back in cause i didnt kno what it was for and im getting more problems with it starting up now. Wat is it for and would it make the car hard to start if it was malfunctioning. Also the electrical connector that goes to it can also plug into another thing on the back of the uim, they have the same type of plug, i was thinking maybe i had them switched or something, what are the correct colors for the wires of the connector going to this thing.

Looks like the bypass air control valve? If you unplug it and your car runs better, it is the problem. It works with keeping the car idling smooth depending on the load (power steering, AC compressor)

There are two valves in that area, the BAC and the ACV. The Bypass Air Control valve helps regulate the idle depending on load, as was mentioned earlier. The Air Control Valve directs air to either the exhaust port, air silencer, or the catalytic converter. The ACVs function is mainly emissions related.

As far as a problem with hot starts, that topic has probably been covered before. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find some useful info.

Well most people say that the hot start problem is either low compression or leaky sticking injectors, well since i had the injectors cleaned last week thats not the problem, so mabye its low compression, 144,000 miles on the original motor is quite a few ide say for a turbo, but you dont think the acv can make it hard to start??? or wat will it do if i unplug it??
