Can I swap my Intake Manifolds with those form a JSpec?

Just as the title says. Can I get some Intake Manifolds from a Jspec engine and put them onto my car, and have them function correctly without making any major changes? I would need to pass smog with them on the car. Do they provide spaces for ACV and other smog related eqpt?

Thanks.

Are the jspecs engineered to flow a bit freer?

I dunno.

I just have an intake leak on mine, and need to replace them. They guy I wanna buy them from has only jspec ones.

They're virtually identical, so yes. What's wrong with your manifold?

All FC's have the ACV, but only US models had EGR valves and AWS solenoid valves (for the 3000rpm start-up). If you can pass emissions checks without these you'll be OK.

Really? I didn't know Aussie models had those too. OK, I'll rephrase: JDM FC's don't have those!

hehe much better!

beats me why they only put the 3000rpm startup thingy on exports only?
I can understand the EGR valve though.

The intakes are not the same. You will be missing 100% of emmissions equipment, in addition, you will have no port for your brakes.

As I mentioned above, all FC's came with an ACV. The EGR and AWS are the only ommissions on the JDM manifold. Also, he has an S5, so he never had an EGR valve.

Yes there is. How do you think RHD brakes work?
