Can I?

Can I get a DP/MP/intake with just a FCD? What about with a FCD and walbro fuel pump? I was planning on waiting for my DP and MP until I got my s-afc but s few people told me I will just max out my injectors and plus I went to the track and was very disappointed and NEED to be faster.

I have a 2.5" dp and mp with an FCD and all other fuel stuff stock, but I do lean out and have experienced plenty of detonation. A lot of it depends on the gas I use, but I would still recommend more fuel to be safe.

Oh ok. I was hoping different. Why does RB say that you need a FCD to go with their full exhaust setup? Just wondering. Thanks.

They say you need it because their exhaust will put your boost level over the factory cut. It doesn't mean that an FCD will make things any safer...on the contrary, an FCD makes the ECU think you're running at lower boost than you actually are, which is not healthy.

Well do you think I would be good with leaving the stock catback on and if not just putting the stock intake back on? I really need to get some more power. Maybe I will just order the s-afc now and then get my DP and MP next week.

You would probably get some power and a lot less heat from just a DP without leaning it out too much. You might not even need an FCD with just that, but I don't know.

Well as of now I have a fcd, walbro fuel pump, boost & egt gauges, and drag radials on the way. i will be keeping the stock catback so I figured I might be able to get away with dp/mp/intake/fcd. Wish there was definite answers but I guess I will have to see how lean I run first with my egt gauge.

I've been told that if I want to control my boost some I can just put my stock intake box back on. Looks restricting enough, lol.
