Question Can the Fuel Pump Cut-off switch

Drain my battery if I accidentally left it on all night?

Night before everything was working fine, hell at it's best, sunroof motor just started to work, mirror motors started to work ect.. Is this possible? Or is there something else draining my battery?

How could we know if something else is draining your battery?

did you leave your lights on? check the lights in your storage bins, and is anything on the car aftermarket? like gauges or stereo? those might drain your battery if improperly installed

fuel pump cut switch just interupts the ground wire to the circuit opening relay.

I have a stereo which I am really thinking might be the problem, but I took the fuse out for the audio since the fuse on the wire connected to the old battery blew, it's not receiving power so I am not sure if that is the problem.

Probably not, the fuel pump is controled through ignition 2 (i believe that is the correct term for it) power. Meaning the only time that power could be going to the fuel pump is when the ignition is in the "on" position.

Your radio will cause minimal drain since there is a constant power wire for radio's, but I doubt it would drain enough to kill a battery, unless of course you short circuted the constant power wire to ground which could cause all kinds of other issues. Although I think you said you were blowing fuses so this would be a spot to check.

Check as many connectors as possible to make sure none of them have melted, espicially any connectors that are within the wireing to a fuse that has been blowing on you. Make sure all connections are well insulated and nothing is shorting out to ground.

Good luck

Well the fuse that blew was the wire going into the battery terminal connectors, fuses on the inside of the care are fine, I hope I didn't leave anything in the on position.

If you have any constant power coming from your battery it will drain if kept on for a long time, my buddy has a fuel pump cut off switch on his celica and it drained his battery one night when he left it on so yes.

A fuel pump cutoff switch won't cause your battery to drain, as stated a couple of posts above. It is essentially just an extra switch in between the power supply side. When you shut the car off, no power is going to the switch.

What did you recently install or work on before the problem came up?

Unplug the battery negative clamp, put a test light between the post and the clamp, see if it's bright. If it is, you have something draining the battery. Start pulling fuses (under-hood and inside) until the light goes off to find the circuit. Then go to the wiring diagram (see sig. for links).
