Question camber out of whack

I've got an '88 coupe that's been lowered a few inches and it's got eibach springs. I've noticed, however, that's it's been wearing the rear tires excesively on the inside. I brought it to one alignment place, and they supposedly aligned it. The tires began to wear even faster, however, and also started to lose traction, especially on wet roads. So, I brought it to another place, and got the alignment checked out and they found that the rear wheels were toed in, and the camber was off. They said that there's no adjustment for the camber, and that the toe-in was most likely done by the first place to compensate. The only way that I know of to fix it would be to change out the springs. I'd rather avoid doing that, but I will if I have to, because tires are expensive. Any ideas?

If you have eibachs it should only be lowered an inch, I know its 3/4" for the Eibach pros. Once you get to 1.5-2.0" you need to buy a camber adjusting rod AND the new camber links at Mazdatrix to get it back to stock or close. My car is lowered two inches with the camber rod and still has too much rear camber.

Also, you may want to replace the bushings in the suspension.

A ten+ year old car is definitely going to have old tired bushings. Changing those will improve the feel of the car and will help your alignment as well. With old tired bushings, an alignment shop can get the alignment in spec, but within a very short amount of time, your wheels/suspension will want to go back to the "original" worn position.

You need one of these. It'll allow adjustment of the rear camber. Most of the big name places have them.

Questions about the camber rod. I bought one from K2RD and can't even tell a difference with it on. Is it supposed to be lengthened or shortened to reduce negative camber? I've tried both ways and couldn't visually see a difference.

You lengthen it to take negative camber out.
